Marine Industry Expertise and Mobile Installations to you

The Springer family has installed solar panels in recreational vehicles for six years now and what started out to be a small retail shop has grown to two shops and an installation division handling complete mobile home and marine electrical fit outs through to remote area house systems and solar grid connections for those residents with existing connection to the power grid.

Husband and wife team Brian and Cheryl Springer together with their son Joseph started a shop in Strathpine on the outskirts of Brisbane to specialise in 12V and 24V product for the recreational traveller and this has grown beyond Springers imagination to the point where they are currently installing the largest Solar Grid Connected Residential system in Queensland. Other members of the family now working with them include Louise, Edward, and Candice plus staff now totalling 15.

Springers moved in February 08 to a new 'home' in Lawnton that will combine the installation division and retail division together. This store has two bays for fit out to a number of caravans and mobile homes at any one time. Mobile home owners with larger installations can park up overnight in Pine Rivers and come back the next day for completion of job.

Springers Mobile Unit Direct To The Boat Owner

The boat owner can have the 'Springers' Mobile division direct to the mooring once design criteria is met by our accredited staff. This one stop shop for boats will provide complete electrical work as well as the standard installations of Solar Panels, AGM Batteries, Upright fridges and lighting.

Battery Information

Battery technology for smaller off grid boating, caravans and mobile homes is different to the type used in remote residential sites and Springers have considerable experience in providing this type of battery to either market.

Often a compromise is made for the boat in choosing an AGM (absorbed glass mat) unit fully sealed and maintenance free but able to be quickly charged after discharge.

Deep Cycle Battery

A thick plate AGM Deep cycle battery will be quite stubborn to charge after considerable discharge and these batteries are to be avoided. The advantage of longer cycling times for a thick plate deep cycle battery will be very soon forgotten when you are out on the bay and don't have the capacity to have them at full capacity before arriving at the next anchor point. A deep cycle AGM hybrid recommended by Springers will charge 30% faster.
