If you can't see any data displaying on your Fronius monitoring portal, the issue is likely that your Fronius Inverter has disconnected from your WiFi network.
Don't stress! This only means your system isn't sending data to the monitoring portal. It doesn't mean that your system isn't working.
Your Fronius Inverter can disconnect from your WiFi network if you have recently:
- Changed internet providers
- Changed your modem/router
- Changed your WiFi password
- Changed your WiFi extender
- Experienced an outage or blackout
Reconnecting your Fronius Inverter to WiFi can easily be done from the comfort of your own home without third-party help.
How to Connect to WiFi
1. Confirm WiFi Signal
On your smartphone, open settings and click on WiFi settings. You should see your home's WiFi network appear here - if you don't, there is something wrong with your WiFi network or modem and you will need to have this fixed before you can connect your Fronius Inverter to WiFi. Once you've confirmed you have access to your WiFi network, you can move on to the next step.
2. OPTIONAL: Restart or Power Cycle your Fronius GEN24 Inverter
To restart your Fronius GEN24 inverter, turn off the AC isolator switch (if this is located in your switchboard, it will be labelled 'Main Switch Inverter Supply'. Then, you can turn off the DC isolator switch/es, located on the front of the inverter.
Wait a few minutes and your Fronius GEN24 inverter's lights will switch off. This indicates that your inverter is turned off and is ready to restart.
To restart, simply repeat the above steps in reverse order. Turn on your DC isolator switches, then turn on your AC isolator switch. It may take a few minutes for the lights on your inverter to turn back on.
After a few minutes, if you still aren't receiving any data in your Fronius monitoring portal, you will need to reconfigure the WiFi settings in your inverter. Continue to follow the below steps.
3. Engage the Fronius inverter's WiFi Access Point
Hold your finger over the middle icon on the front of the inverter, until you get a flashing light above the WiFi icon on the front of the inverter.
4. Connect your smartphone to the Fronius WiFi Access Point
On your smartphone, open settings and click on WiFi settings. Click on the Fronius network to connect to the Access Point. Type in the following password:

Click Join to connect.
5. Open Fronius Datamanager
Open a web browser tab. Type the following IP Address into the search bar and click enter:
IP Address: 192.168.250.181
6. Open the ‘Communication’ menu
Click the 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner of the page. From this menu, click ‘Communication’.
7. Login as a Customer
The 'User Login' box will appear. Under the 'User' dropdown, select 'Customer'. Type in your password and click Login.
Note: If your Fronius GEN24 inverter was installed by Springers Solar, your password will be the following:

If your Fronius GEN24 inverter was not installed by Springers Solar, you will need to contact your installer to find out which password they used for you.
8. Open the ‘Network’ menu
Click the 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner of the page. From this menu, click ‘Network’.
Note: An alert may appear when you enter the Network menu. If this alert appears, select 'Keep Trying Wi-Fi'.
9. Open the 'WiFi' dropdown
Click on the 'WiFi' box in the middle to open the WiFi menu.
10. Select Home Network
In the WiFi menu section, scroll down until you find your home network. Click on your home WiFi network.
9. Enter your WiFi network password. Click Join.
10. Success
Your WiFi network will now show up blue in the WiFi menu section to indicate your inverter is connected to the WiFi.
