2. Purchase Price Offer
The Purchase Price Offer includes the purchase and installation of the listed system and will remain valid for seven (7) days from the quoted date before the Contract is signed.
The “Purchase Price Offer” condition only applies if:
- The Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) associated with the solar system are assigned to Springers Solar.
- A deposit of $500 is paid upon the acceptance and signature of this Contract.
Payment schedule:
- 50% of the amount payable (less the deposit) must be paid upon Springers Solar providing the customer with an installation date.
- The balance remaining must be paid on or before the day Springers Solar installs the listed system at your property.
- Payments by card will incur a 1% surcharge unless paid via bank transfer. Amex will incur a 1.5% surcharge.

4. Termination of Contract
The customer is entitled to terminate the contract and Springers Solar will provide a full refund if:
a) The contract is for the supply for New Energy Tech that requires physical installation and
b) The customer is provided a site-specific installation design or plan and site-specific performance estimate as an initial deliverable under the contract and
c) Within 10 business of receiving your site-specific installation design plan and performance estimate the customer notifies Springers Solar that they do not accept these.
or
a) Springers Solar proposes to significantly change the New Energy Tech installation design from that previously provided to them (whether provided in the quote or as a first deliverable under the contract) and the customer is not willing to accept the change.
or
a) If the site conditions and circumstances beyond the customer's control result in extra chargeable work not within the contract price and the customer is not willing to bear the additional costs.
or
a) If Springers Solar fails to meet the timeframe specified in the contract for delivery and installation (if applicable), or commencement of any service of any New Energy Tech. This does not apply, however, if the delay was because of circumstances that were identified in the contract as outside of control.
The $500 deposit is forfeited to Springers Solar if the contract is terminated as a result of the customer:
- Defaulting on any of these Contract Terms and Conditions.
- Terminating this Contract for any reason after 10 business days and prior to the installation of the solar system. You must notify Springers Solar in writing of your decision to terminate this Contract.
- Ceasing to own the property before the installation of the listed system is complete.
5. Warranties
Springers Solar warrants that once the solar PV unit and/or battery system and/or EV charger is installed, it will comply with all relevant Australian standards, building codes, and government legislation.
Manufacturer warranties are provided for solar panels, string inverters, micro inverters, hybrid inverters, batteries, and EV chargers.
Springers Solar provides a 10-year workmanship warranty on the whole solar PV system installation, including battery installation.
Springers Solar offers a workmanship warranty to match the manufacturer product warranty for all EV charger installations, i.e.:
- Tesla EV Charger: 48-month workmanship warranty
Full details and exclusions are provided in the warranties section and attached warranties document, which form part of this Contract.
6. Repairs
Springers Solar will repair any damage to your property that is caused by installing the solar PV unit and/or battery system and/or EV charger, provided that you notify Springers Solar of the damage in writing within three months of installation, unless otherwise agreed upon.
Any repairs that result from damage caused by "acts of God", malicious damage, or damage caused by abuse, neglect, or accident, will be charged to the customer accordingly. Full details are included in the warranty statement available on our website here.
7. Exclusions of Warranties and Liability
or warranties to you in connection with any solar PV unit and/or battery system and/or EV charger or installation, except for those warranties set out in this Contract and those warranties which cannot be excluded from this Contract.
To the extent permitted by law, Springers Solar liability for breach of any express or implied condition or warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the relevant solar PV unit and/or battery and/or EV charger components. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Springers Solar has no liability to you for breach of this Contract other than as is set out in these Contract Terms and Conditions. Springers Solar has no liability to pay any damages or compensation for any breach of this Contract.
The consumer’s rights under the warranty sit alongside the consumer guarantees which are required under Australian Consumer Law and cannot be excluded.
8. Information, Privacy, & Legislation
By accepting and signing a Contract with Springers Solar, you consent to Springers Solar collecting, using, and disclosing your information as outlined below.
8.1 Finance Documentation
If you elect to use a Finance option, Springers Solar will collect your personal information to apply for the finance plan on your behalf. You will be required to sign any relevant documentation, including but not limited to, any information forms, credit schedules, and notification of completion forms, to be signed at the time of signing the Contract and/or on your installation day, as applicable.
8.2 STC Assignment and Government Legislation
You authorise Springers Solar to provide your personal information to the relevant Government authorities on your behalf for the purpose of creating STCs and/or claiming the STC discount.
8.3 Energex/Ergon Applications
You give consent for Springers Solar to apply to Energex or Ergon on your behalf for approval to install a solar PV unit and/or battery system and/or EV charger at the specified installation address. Springers Solar will provide Energex/Ergon with your personal information, including but not limited to, your electricity account information and your contact information.
8.4 Privacy
Springers Solar will comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and will collect information from you to complete the purpose of the Contract.
You can access our full Privacy Policy here.
9. Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs)
Small-scale Technology Certicates (STCs) are a tradeable commodity attached to eligible installations of renewable energy systems (including solar panels and battery systems). As specified in Clause 2, you agree to assign the right to create STCs to Springers Solar. For GST registered customers, please also refer to Schedule C - STCs & GST - STC information for GST registered businesses.
You must sign a STC Assignment form upon completion of the installation. If required, you must also take any further action in order for Springers Solar to create and/or claim all STCs associated with the system installation.
By assigning your STCs to Springers Solar, the value of the STCs is then treated as a point-of-sale discount on the total system price. If you choose not to assign your STCs to Springers Solar, you must inform Springers Solar of this choice prior to signing this Contract and assume all responsibility for creating and redeeming your STCs. You will also be required to pay the total system price as outlined.
If changes in Federal Government Legislation or policy affect the number or validity of STCs, and ultimately affect Springers Solar’s ability to recover the total system price, Springers Solar reserves the right to amend the point-of-sale discount. The point-of-sale discount can only be amended prior to installation. In the event of such a change, you will have the option to proceed with the amended purchase price offer or terminate the Contract.
10. Metering by Electricity Retailers
Springers Solar will advise Energex/Ergon the solar system has been installed and a solar-ready meter is required. Energex/Ergon will then instruct your electricity retailer to complete the meter change/reprogram to solar. Your electricity retailer may charge a fee of up to $800.00 for the installation of new or additional meters. Springers Solar will not be liable for any compensation claims if you experience any financial loss as a result of circumstances arising from this which are outside the Company's control.
11. System Performance
The solar PV unit and/or battery system and/or EV charger performance will vary according to a number of factors, including but not limited to, the number of peak sunlight hours, cloud cover, weather patterns, the location of the solar PV unit, and the surrounding structures such as flora.
Springers Solar warrants that SAA Accredited Designers will endeavour to design and install the solar system in a position that is likely to maximise the performance of the solar PV unit at your property.
Springers Solar does not guarantee and will accept no responsibility if the performance of any solar PV unit installed is lower than anticipated. This clause
does not affect or diminish any warranties listed.
Any projections of future financial performance are based upon current electricity usage and are provided in good faith, but are for illustrative purposes only. Customers are encouraged to seek their own financial advice with regard to the potential for future financial returns associated with the solar PV unit and/or battery system and/or EV charger.
12. System Installation
In most instances, we can install your system within eight weeks of the Contract date, however, this is dependent on weather conditions, the volume of customers signing with us, and any other unforeseen circumstances which may arise.
If circumstances arise and the installation is not completed within the estimated lead time provided to you at quotation, Springers Solar will contact you to arrange and book a specified date.
You agree to and understand that a SAA Accredited Designer has conducted an inspection of your property and has identified the best possible position that is likely to maximise the performance of your solar PV unit. The installation team will install the solar PV unit and/or battery system and/or EV charger at your property according to the design set out in the Site Inspection Report. If any unforeseen circumstances arise when our senior installation team manager is on-site, the design criteria may change due to their assessment and you will be advised immediately.
Should you wish to change or alter the recommendation of the SAA Designer and/or the location of the solar PV unit and/or battery system and/or EV charger to be installed at your property, you must provide information in writing to Springers Solar within five (5) business days of signing this Contract.
You agree that Springers Solar will not be liable for any system or remuneration issues, including but not limited to, any system performance issues, loss of feed-in tariff or unexpected electricity bill increases which may arise due to these changes.
If, on the day of installation, it is identified that the scope of works required is outside of the items listed on this Contract, the installer will advise you immediately. Depending on the circumstances, and if necessary, Springers Solar may issue a revised quote for the additional work required, however this will be discussed with you prior to work being completed.
13. Photograph and Digital Image Release
You give consent for Springers Solar, its employees and/or its agents to take photographs and store digital images of the solar installation at the installation address. These photographs and digital file images will become the property of Springers Solar and will be used to illustrate the design and installation of the grid-connected solar system for government inspections, marketing and advertising purposes, and/or as part of any industry award submissions the company may enter.
You understand that there will be no financial or other remuneration provided for these photographs or digital images, either for initial or subsequent use and that you will not be liable for any payment or monetary exchange for the photographs and/or digital images to be taken.
Springers Solar and, if applicable, the photographer will be released from any claims or demands arising out of or in connection with the use of such photographs and digital images, including but not limited to any claims for defamation or invasion of privacy.
14. Handover
Springers Solar will email an electronic file of your final handover documents to you post-installation when the STC Assignment has been signed, full payment has been received, and an Electrical Work Request (EWR) number has been supplied to you in order to expedite your metering with your electricity retailer.
The PDF file will contain certification, warranties, and recommended maintenance procedures. A hard copy of the handover file is also available upon request. A Springers Solar representative is available to complete the final handover of your solar PV unit and/or battery system and/or EV charger free-of-charge if required. It is an opportunity for us to instruct you in the use of your new system and answer any questions you may have about your solar PV unit.
15. Virtual Power Plant (VPP) Participation
15.1 Recommended Pre-Enrolment Period
Customers who intend to enrol their energy system in any Virtual Power Plant (VPP) program, whereby system operation is managed or controlled by a third-party entity, are strongly advised to allow a minimum period of two (2) months from the date of system commissioning before joining such programs.
This period is recommended to:
- Confirm correct and stable operation of the system;
- Allow the customer to gain sufficient familiarity with the system behaviour and performance; and
- Provide reasonable time for the customer to understand normal system operation prior to third-party control being introduced.
15.2 Limitations of Service Support After VPP Enrolment
Upon connection of the customer's system to any VPP service, Springers Solar will no longer be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, or provide technical support for operational issues that may arise as a result of the system being controlled, influenced, or overridden by a third-party VPP operator.
In the event that investigation or diagnosis is required, the customer must first arrange for the system to be restored to self-consumption default settings.
- Springers Solar is unable to request, initiate, or action this request on behalf of the customer.
- Customers should be aware that third-party VPP operators may take approximately two (2) or three (3) weeks to process such a request.
Springers Solar's support obligations resume only once the system is returned to self-consumption operation and is no longer under third-party control.
