During the planning phase for a new construction project, Tomitch Constructions considered the feasibility of installing a solar system on the property. 


The team at Tomitch Constructions reached out to Springers Solar to design a commercial solar system for the two-story building on Brisbane's north side. Their main goals were to reduce the carbon footprint and minimise electricity costs for the property. 


Our engineering and design team worked closely with Tomitch Constructions to design a system that would take advantage of the flat roof space proposed for the building. The resulting system consists of 69x Trina Solar 440W Vertex S+ Modules, offering 30.36kW of solar PV capacity. 


This array is paired with a Sungrow 29.9kW Premium Three-Phase Inverter, which was chosen for its reliable performance, seamless panel compatibility and monitoring capabilities. The team at Tomitch Constructions can utilise the iSolarCloud monitoring portal to conveniently track the system's solar production and energy consumption.


Due to the nature of the project, being a new build, it was imperative that the Springers installation team worked efficiently within the construction timeline. Our project manager collaborated with the construction manager for the site to ensure the solar system would be installed and running at the completion of the construction project. Our project manager expertly led our team of in-house installers and qualified electricians to ensure they integrated seamlessly with the other construction trades working on this project.


The system on this property is estimated to produce 3331.98kWh of solar energy every year, which in turn will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 2,665.6kg per annum.
