With over 50 radiology practices across Queensland and 25 years of operation, QLD X-Ray is one of the largest and longest-running radiology companies in the Sunshine State. Their brand-new practice in Mount Gravatt, which offers a comprehensive service, boasts state-of-the-art technology across all areas of health imaging. This leading technology requires a substantial amount of energy to power.
Looking to offset the cost of the practice’s significant energy draw, the team at QLD X-Ray reached out to Springers Solar for a sustainable energy solution. Our engineering and design team worked closely with Tomitch Constructions to design a system that would take advantage of the flat roof space proposed for the building.
The resulting system pairs Canadian Solar panels and SolarEdge Commercial inverters to efficiently maximise energy generation for the practice. Chosen for their significant power output, proven performance and module efficiency, 215 of the 465W Canadian Solar TOPCon N-Type solar panels were installed on the roof.
The array provides the practice with 100kW of solar PV capacity, which is set to generate 127.8MGh of energy per year. The significant renewable energy generated from this system is estimated to reduce the electricity costs for the practice significantly and will eliminate approximately 103.2 tonnes of CO2 emissions every year.
