This South Brisbane home was looking to reduce its reliance on the grid and take control of its energy consumption. This homeowner was looking to make the switch to solar and become as energy self-sufficient as possible.
Aidan Vogt, a Springers Solar Energy Consultant, worked closely with the customer to design a system that maximises the property’s solar generation and meets the energy required to power the home and any future renewable energy investments. A variety of system designs were explored, from DC-coupled to AC-coupled and everything in between. The final system offers the customer maximum flexibility and control over their energy, as well as the ability to upgrade and expand in the future.
Looking to take advantage of the significant roof space at this property, Aidan designed a 30.69kW solar array comprising 66 Canadian Solar 465W N-Type solar panels. This large system utilises as much of the roof space as possible, and provides the customer with more than enough energy to power their home and charge their electric vehicles.
Having enjoyed the off-grid lifestyle while travelling, the customer was looking to make their home just as self-sufficient. To achieve this, we installed a SigenStor Home Energy Solution at the property, comprised of a 20kW Three Phase Energy Controller, 4 8kWh Home Battery Modules, offering a total 32kWh of solar storage capacity, and a 25kW DC EV Charging Module, to accommodate some new EV purchases.
With the integrated SigenStor Home Energy Solution, this customer can enjoy the luxury of energy conversion, storage, and charging, all in a single stack, which means the customer can save space and eliminate additional component clutter.
In addition to the aesthetics of the system, the SigenStor also connects with the industry-leading AI-optimised mySigen monitoring app. This app provides the customer with real-time, comprehensive monitoring of their entire system. They aren’t necessarily required to know the ins and outs of the app, as they can simply ask the AI tool, “How much solar energy has the system generated?” and the app will provide the data for them, making system monitoring as easy as possible.
