Compatible with 12V and 24V systems and rated for 550 - 1100 W of solar input, the Luna-S 100 V 40 A suits caravans, motorhomes, 4x4s, as well as off-grid cabins and sheds. Its 100 V input lets you wire panels in series, so less power is lost over longer cable runs.

Luna-S controllers are the 12/24V option in the Alvolta MPPT range, covering 20A to 50A of charging current for small to mid-size solar systems. Every model delivers up to 98% charging conversion efficiency and over 99% MPPT tracking efficiency. Built-in Bluetooth lets you monitor and adjust them through the Alvolta app.

All Luna-S controllers work with 12V and 24V systems, across a battery voltage range of 9 - 32V DC. They have presets for lithium, sealed lead-acid, flooded lead-acid and gel batteries, plus a custom option for setting your own charging parameters. Temperature compensation applies to lead-acid batteries only.

Choose based on your array size and system voltage. The 20A model suits up to 260W at 12V or 520W at 24V, the 30A up to 400W or 800W, the 40A up to 550W or 1100W, and the 50A up to 660W or 1320W. Always check that your array’s open circuit voltage stays below 92V at 25°C.

Every Luna-S controller has built-in Bluetooth, so you can check charging status and change settings through the Alvolta app. For an at-a-glance display, connect the external Alvolta Observer LCD screen. The controllers also have TTL (Modbus) and CAN (RV-C) communication for linking into compatible monitoring systems.

No. Luna-S controllers are IP32 rated, so they aren’t weatherproof and should be installed in a dry, well-ventilated, sheltered spot away from direct sunlight and rain. That also rules out boats and other marine setups. They’re rated to operate from -35°C to +65°C.
