AMG (also known as Mega) fuses are high-current fuses designed to protect heavy-duty electrical systems from overloads and short circuits. They’re commonly used in 12V and 24V DC applications such as dual battery systems, inverters, DC-DC chargers, and other high-amperage accessories found in 4WDs, caravans, camper trailers, and boats.

Select a fuse rated slightly higher than your circuit’s maximum continuous current draw, but below the current rating of your wiring and connected components. For example, if your inverter draws 120A, you’d typically use a 150A fuse. Always ensure your cable size and fuse rating match to prevent overheating or nuisance tripping.

AMG (also known as Mega) fuse holders are designed to secure and protect high-current fuses used in heavy-duty DC electrical systems. They're ideal for safely housing fuses that protect batteries, inverters, and other high-load components in solar, marine, and automotive applications.

These holders are specifically designed for AMG/Mega-style bolt-down fuses, typically rated from 100 A to 500 A. Always check the current rating and size of your fuse to ensure proper fit and protection for your circuit.

Yes. Quality AMG/Mega fuse holders are made from heat-resistant, flame-retardant, and other durable materials with secure mounting bases and protective covers, making them suitable for outdoor, vehicle, and marine environments where vibration and exposure are common.
