AMI and Midi fuses are the same, there are just different naming conventions from manufacturers. Both feature bolt-down connections and typically range from 30A to 200A. Maxi fuses, on the other hand, are blade-style fuses that plug into holders rather than bolt down.

Select a fuse that’s rated slightly above your circuit’s maximum continuous current draw. For example, a 40A circuit should use a 50A fuse. Always check that the fuse rating matches your cable gauge and the current-handling capacity of your connected equipment.

AMI (also known as Midi) fuse holders are designed to secure and protect AMI/Midi-style bolt-down fuses, which are used in medium to high-current DC circuits. They're ideal for safely protecting wiring in 12 V and 24 V systems - such as solar, automotive, marine, and off-grid setups.

These holders are compatible with AMI/Midi fuses, typically rated between 30 A and 200 A. Always ensure the fuse rating matches your circuit's protection requirements and the current capacity of your cables and devices.

Yes. Alvolta AMI/Midi fuse holders are composed of heat-resistant, flame-retardant plastic and include a protective cover. This makes them durable enough for outdoor, vehicle, or marine use - where vibration and weather exposure are common.
