An indent cable lug crimping tool is designed to crimp large cable lugs and terminals onto heavy-duty cables ranging from 10mm² to 120mm². It’s ideal for high-current electrical systems such as solar, automotive, marine, and industrial applications.

An indent crimp creates a single, deep impression (or “indent”) into the lug barrel, forcing the cable strands tightly together for a secure, gas-tight connection. Unlike hex crimps, which compress evenly around the lug, indent crimps are faster and commonly used for solid, heavy-gauge cable terminations.

Yes. The indent crimping tool can be used with copper, tinned copper, and aluminium lugs, provided the correct die or head size is selected. Copper or tinned copper is preferred in most solar and vehicle setups for superior conductivity.

Select the correct die size for your cable, insert the stripped wire into the lug, position it in the crimping head, and squeeze the handles (or operate the lever) until the indent is fully formed. The crimp should be firm and properly seated without damaging the lug.

Indent crimpers are simpler, faster, and lighter than hex crimpers, making them great for field use. They provide strong electrical connections and are easier to operate manually, especially when heavy-duty hydraulic tools aren’t necessary.
