HellermannTyton 2.5mm² Blue Heat Shrink Double Grip Butt Splice Connectors (Pack of 100)

Features

  • Pack of 100 connectors
  • Suits 1.5 - 2.5 mm² cable
  • Double grip crimp barrel holds both the conductor and its insulation
  • Heat shrink sleeve seals the joint once heated
  • Colour-coded blue for easy size identification
  • Copper crimp barrel

Where to use it

Use these connectors to join two 1.5 - 2.5 mm² cables end to end with a sealed, insulated joint. Crimp each side, then heat the sleeve to shrink it around the cable, helping keep out moisture and stop the joint working loose from vibration.

Pair with

Crimp with an insulated terminal ratchet crimper such as the Alvolta Insulated Ratchet Crimping Tool, then shrink the sleeve with a heat gun.

Ideal for

  • Caravans and RVs
  • 4WDs and camper trailers
  • Marine wiring
  • Off-grid and 12 V systems
  • Automotive repairs

Heat shrink butt splice connectors are used to join or repair electrical wires securely while providing insulation and protection against moisture, dust, and vibration. They’re ideal for automotive, marine, solar, and off-grid wiring applications where durability and weather resistance are essential.

Simply strip the ends of your wires, insert them into each side of the connector, and crimp them firmly with a quality crimping tool. Then apply heat using a heat gun until the tubing shrinks tightly around the wire and adhesive seals the connection for a waterproof, long-lasting bond.

Yes. When properly crimped and heated, the internal adhesive lining melts to form a watertight seal, protecting your electrical connection from corrosion and environmental damage. This makes them perfect for outdoor, marine, and 12V vehicle applications.
