Copper cable lugs are used to securely connect electrical cables to terminals, batteries, busbars, or other equipment. They provide a safe, low-resistance connection point for reliable current flow in automotive, marine, solar, and industrial electrical systems.

Choose a lug that matches both your cable size (mm² or AWG) and the stud or bolt size it will attach to (e.g., M6, M8, M10). Using the correct size ensures a secure mechanical and electrical fit, preventing overheating or poor conductivity.

To install a lug, strip the insulation from the end of your cable, insert the bare wire into the lug barrel, and crimp it firmly with a suitable crimping tool. For added protection, seal the connection with heat shrink tubing to prevent moisture or corrosion.

Yes. For outdoor or marine environments, it’s best to use tinned copper lugs, which offer superior corrosion resistance and conductivity compared to bare copper. This helps maintain reliable performance even in humid, salty, or exposed conditions.
