An insulated ratchet crimping tool is designed to crimp insulated terminals, connectors, and lugs onto electrical wires ranging from 0.5mm² to 6mm². It ensures a secure, consistent, and professional electrical connection for automotive, marine, and solar applications.

Unlike standard crimpers, a ratchet crimping tool locks in place until the correct pressure is applied, ensuring each crimp is completed to a uniform standard. This helps prevent under- or over-crimping, improving the safety and reliability of your connections.

The insulated handles provide user comfort and protection by reducing hand fatigue and offering a layer of electrical insulation. However, the tool is not rated for live electrical work—always disconnect power before crimping.

This model is designed specifically for insulated terminals, such as red, blue, and yellow crimp connectors. For non-insulated or heavy-duty lugs, you’ll need a compatible non-insulated crimper or hydraulic crimping tool.

Most insulated ratchet crimpers are colour-coded or labelled for different wire sizes:

Red: 0.5 – 1.5 mm²
Blue: 1.5 – 2.5 mm²
Yellow: 4 – 6 mm²
