Where to use it

The Alvolta Luna-HL 100V 10A MPPT with Load Controller is built for small solar setups that need to look after themselves, charging your battery through the day and switching a connected load, like lighting, on and off automatically. Compatible with 12 / 24 V systems and rated for 130 - 260 W of solar input, it suits single-panel setups on camper trailers, rooftop tents, and 4WD canopy builds, and standalone systems in sheds, on gates and at remote sites running lighting, pumps or monitoring gear. Its 10A load output can switch on dusk-to-dawn by sensing daylight through the panel, with an optional 1 - 14 hour timer or manual control.

Its compact size suits a trailer toolbox, battery box or small enclosure. Its IP64 rating means it's dust-tight and handles splashes, though it's still best mounted out of direct sun and rain. A built-in LED display shows charging and fault status, and you can connect an external screen or add a Bluetooth module to monitor and adjust settings through the Alvolta app. Rated to operate from -35°C to +65°C, it's suited to Australian conditions year-round, and it's backed by a 3-year warranty.

The Luna-HL unit supports Lithium (LI), Sealed Lead-Acid (SLD), Gel (GEL), Flooded Lead-Acid (FLD), and Customised (User) battery profiles.

System Voltage: Supports 12V and 24V DC battery systems with automatic identification for lead-acid batteries, as well as presets for lithium and user-defined profiles.

Maximum Solar Array: Accepts up to 100V DC maximum open-circuit solar voltage (Voc).

Solar Power Input: Handles up to 130W solar panel power on 12V systems and up to 260W on 24V systems.

Current Capacity: Delivers up to 10A maximum battery charging current and up to 10A continuous DC load current.

MPPT Performance: Utilises PowerCatcher MPPT technology to achieve up to 99.9% tracking efficiency and up to 98% conversion efficiency.

4-Stage Algorithm: Features a complete 4-stage charging cycle (MPPT Bulk, Equalise, Boost/Acceptance, and Float).

Electrical Protections: Comprehensive protection against PV over-voltage, PV/battery reverse polarity, input over-power, interior over-temperature, battery over-charge/over-discharge, PV/load short circuits, TVS lightning protection, and night-time reverse charging.

Load Overload Ratings: To protect connected appliances and wiring, the DC load output automatically shuts down under excessive draw.

Current-Limiting Charge: Automatically throttles charging power if solar input exceeds 10A rated capacity.
